On a first date, it’s always better to go short rather than long. The temptation is to make it go long if it’s going well, but it may actually make more sense (if you’re looking for longevity) to cut things somewhat short: absence makes the heart grow fonder. I know, it’s bullshit that there’s a game to be played, but it’s true and it works. Stupid platitudes aren’t created for nothing.
Of course, going long isn’t bad if it’s squirrel that you’re after. In fact, it’s probably better to do it that way if you’re not in it for the long haul.
