Quick Tips are simple things that you can do to increase your chance of a successful date. Fuck these up at your own peril. Without further ado . . .

Look at me, I arrived early and I’m standing around with my friends waiting for someone who will never show up.
Now that I’ve rested on this, I have to say that arriving on-time is a big mistake if you’re just starting to date someone. First, arriving on time shows an eagerness-to-please that really ought to make you kind of suspect. Two, unless you have a car, arriving on time to virtually any place that isn’t within walking distance of your house in New York is impossible — so that makes you early. And if you’re early, you’re eager. And if you’re eager, you’re desperate. And if you’re desperate, it shows.
So, relax, show up 5 minutes late with the aforementioned interesting excuse (e.g., there was a sick passenger on my car of the subway — a man fainting spells followed by a loud incoherent diatribe against organic food).
