We love the beach but there are a few reasons we would shy away from suggesting Long Island City’s Water Taxi Beach as a regular date idea (weather; too many hotter people than ourselves). But we are happy to report that on June 10th there will might be a Murder Mystery night put on by Theatre To Go. (Their murder themes include Corporate/Old Western/Hawaiian Detective and something called the A Political Fund Rasier.
This being a beach, we wonder if they’ll go with “Kennedy Rape.”
But seriously, we say might because they need at least 66 people to make the event happen.The most they can take is 120. The evening will include dinner, drinks, and a live, New York murder mystery.
Tip: The dinner includes Schnack (*gah* *drool*) spicey chicken wings, dogs and vegetarian options.
Tip: June gets cool at night; take a jacket.
Where: Water Taxi Beach. 7 train to Vernon Blvd/Jackson Ave. The site has a bunch of information on how to get there. Alternatively, actually take the water taxi.

In case of cancellation you can always take your date into Long Island City and maybe become an exciting part of a real murder mystery. Cost: Free (monetarily anyway)
